Raised in the small town of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky where her family raised cattle, produced and sold tobacco to nearby communities. Homelife on the farm was not what she had visioned her future to be. Anita had faced many obstacles starting at a very young age. Kentucky being “what it is” did not have the power to hold her.
In 1995 she met her husband, Dallas Williams and together they brought forth two beautiful children into this world Michael L. Williams and Maurice K. Williams. In 1997 shortly after Michael’s birth, Anita was informed by medical professionals that cancer exist. While dealing with this bout of cancer she also found herself dealing with family issues coming from both sides. Anita who has not one racist bone in her body realized just how opposite she was from her family in terms of dealing with people of color. Anita never saw color she just see people, human beings and the beauty within their souls.
Shortly after her husband completed a term with FEMA as the “Mitigation Specialist” in the “Great Flood of 97” they realized it was time to leave Kentucky. Together they felt it would be best to avoid their families and live the life that leaves past in the past. Anita stated, “When you marry out of race it can certainly open the door to prove your “true” love for your spouse.”
After leaving Kentucky together they have lived in IL, CA, WV, OH, OK, TX, NM, CO, and currently in MO.
On April 19, 2012 Anita graduated from Huntington Junior College in Huntington, WV with a degree in “Medical Coding.” She would be the first in her family to complete college.
Even while dealing with the pain of racist family members, medical issues of her own, and sometimes financial pains, Anita proved her love for people in the Hobbs community by forging ahead with her “Administrative Law Advocacy” license and has been successful in helping several families prepare, finalize, and win SSA and Welfare cases.
Anita has brought to Hobbs a fresh look at things as she has gained a great amount of knowledge living in many states within the United States. Anita states, “You learn a lot living in different states because you have to learn to adapt.”
In the summer of 2018 while residing in Pueblo, CO Anita set in action a plan to get funding for the local High School Baseball team. In her single-handed quest she raised $5,000 dollars and was able to secure uniforms and field equipment for the team. (See Photos of Uniforms) She had moved before the ceremony. First year in many years Pueblo Central High School utilized their own field.
Anita and Dallas immediately fell in love with Sullivan, MO community and felt this would be an ideal location to really start a life.
Adapting is what she has done well in Sullivan, MO as she has her eyes set on a huge project she calls it “DEALZ.” householddealz.com, Sullivan social media continue to “blow” up as there are many waiting to see what’s this young lady have up her sleeve as “Householddealz” is in preparation for an opening event, one that is anticipated to be as majestic as the lady herself.
