Sullivan Why Not – A Code Enforcement Unit?

This is a question that many “POOR” people like myself are asking.

PERSONALLY, I believe that a “TRUE” Code Enforcement Unit is “NOT” in place because people who “GOVERNS” the city in most cases “OWNS” a “LOT OF PROPERTY,” as well as, their closely connected friends.

I “DON’T” have a problem with that, because “NOW” they are in the rental property business. A CITY OFFICIAL/HOMEOWNER/LANDLORD. LOTS OF STRESS FOR ONE PERSON.

I would be one to believe, that as a “CITY OFFICIAL” and “HOMEOWNER/LANDLORD,” one would “NEED” to have “EVERYTHING” in place to “PROTECT” themselves, as well as their “RENTERS.”

IMPORTANCE OF A CODE ENFORCEMENT UNIT

To protects the community by regulating “ENTITIES/PEOPLE” that are “BREAKING LAWS” and “CITY ORDINANCES.”

–LOOK AT IT, LIKE THIS–

“FIRST DIBBERS” (THOSE LUCKY “RICH” PEOPLE/IN THE KNOW PEOPLE), go out and “PUCHASE” an auctioned home. (CHEAP – REAL CHEAP). They may “SLAP” a coat of “CHEAP” paint on its interior, “DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION, AND WHOM THEY WILL BE RENTING TOO,” -AND- PLACE IT ON THE MARKET AS “MOVE-IN” READY.

The First “NON-CASENETperson OR family, that come along, that they know they can “CLEAN HOUSE” in court with. That “PERSON” wins the “SLUM” ticket AND more “PROBLEMS” then expected.

A few months down the road, your “SLUM/TIN-CAN” can catch fire, leak, and can smell like “CRAP” because the pipes are busted, stove don’t work, and just about anything they can think of, and they “BLAME YOU” for the damages. A “SLUMLORDS” MONEY MAKER.

THIS IS WHY YOU NEED A “CODE ENFORCEMENT UNIT”

1) It will give “POOR” people, like myself, an entity to “FILE COMPLAINTS,” and “MAKE REQUESTS” to have someone take a look at the property.

2) It will give “POOR” people, like myself, a chance to “FIGHT THEIR CASES” more “EFFECTIVELY” with an “INVESTIGATION REPORT” filed by a Code Enforcement Entity in hand.

3) It can assist the “JUDGE” in making a more “THOUGHTFUL” decision.

THIS IS WHAT SULLIVAN “CITY OFFICIALS” ARE HIDING FROM YOU. – (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.)

4) It can “MANDATE” a “FINE” on property owners.

“FINES” can range from $100 to $1000 per offense, meaning that if the Code Enforcement Officer “CITES” your property for 10 violations, you could face up to $10,000 in fines and “STILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING THE PROPERTY INTO COMPLIANCE. – THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO VOTE FOR.

IN MOST CASES, WHEN THEY FIND “ONE” PIECE OF PROPERTY, “OUT OF COMPLIANCE,” THEY MAY WANT TO CHECK OWNERS OTHER PROPERTIES.

—YOUR CITY MANAGER “IS” AWARE OF THIS—

SOME OF HIS PROPERTY WOULD BE CONSIDERED “OUT OF COMPLIANCE” IN A “COMMUNITY” THAT BELIEVE IN ITS PEOPLE. “A FINE WOULD BE REQUIRED.”

This is what you would think, “PEOPLE” who believes in their community, would want to have in place. NOT YOUR “CITY MANAGER” – THIS IS A MONEY MAKER. CERTAIN PEOPLE ARE DOING VERY WELL WITH THIS SULLIVAN HOME BUYING PROGRAM.

People of Sullivan, do you know how much “MONEY” the City of Sullivan “ELECTRIC” Division makes each year? A TON – Because Pretty Much All these “TIN-CAN” Trailers and “BROKEN” down homes are rented to the “POOR,” –BECAUSE– they are “OUTDATED and “OUT OF COMPLIANCE.” Your heat and air runs through these “SLUM” dwellings like the “ROAD RUNNER,” moving at MAXIMUM SPEED. That’s why they give the “POOR” PEOPLE “LI-HEAP” SERVICES.

LI-HEAP only exist because “ENTITIES” are aware that “HOUSING” CONDITIONS are “PISS” poor at best, in “SULLIVAN,” and there are “NO” laws to protect the “POOR” people who “HAVE” to rent from “SLUMLORDS.”

Can you imagine how much the city can be transformed into a “BEAUTIFUL” city if everyone was doing their part?

Can you imagine the “AMOUNT” of “MONEY” that can be “BROUGHT” in each year by “SIMPLY” “REQUESTING” these “SLUMLORDS” to bring their property “UP” to “CITY” code. That money can go a long way in helping “TURN” this community around. Even as far as “HELPING OUR HOMELESS” AND ELDERLY IN THIS COMMUNITY.

“WE” as “POOR” people needs to understand “WE” can’t continue to allow this type of “MIS-MANAGEMENT” to continue. It’s time for “SLUMLORDS” to help “US” carry this heavy “BURDEN.” WE have given enough “FINANCIALLY” to the “COURTS,” and these “SLUMLORDS,” DUE TO THE LIES AND DECEITFULNESS PRESENTED TO THE COURTS..

LET’S “FINE” THESE “SLUMLORDS” AND BUILD A BETTER COMMUNITYIT’S TIME.

IF YOU’RE “NOT” A SLUMLORD – KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WE APPRECIATE IT. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE BLESSED.

MAKE SURE YOU USE CASENET AND CHECK THE AMOUNT OF EVICTIONS BEFORE RENTING FROM ANY ENTITY HERE IN SULLIVAN. THIS TOOL WILL BE YOUR LIFESAVER IN TERMS OF MAKING A DECISION. IF YOU BELIEVE THE BUSINESS IS IN A PERSON’S NAME “PLACE THAT NAME IN THE SEARCH TOOL.”
