It can be “VERY DIFFICULT”<\/strong> at times.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, no matter what the challenges may be, it’s up to us as individuals, and families<\/strong>, to accept those challenges, and always try our best to move in a positive motion<\/strong> through our ever changing real life events<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, our son was given full<\/strong> custody of his two little girls<\/strong> (my granddaughters)<\/strong>. Some people say it was a battle<\/strong>, some say it was about hate<\/strong>, some people say, what they feel<\/strong>. Fact is, its now about making sure they have balance in their lives, in absence of their mother<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those haters who believe that “I”<\/strong> may be the one keeping the girls away from their mother, this is just far from the truth<\/strong>. Even though we have had our ups and downs, I am hoping that she will remain in the girls lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will always “LOVE” my daughter-in-law, as it is she, who have given my husband and I “TWO” beautiful granddaughters<\/strong>. It is she, who married our son and gave him some wonderful years<\/strong>. Therefore, however she feels about me, I certainly can’t change<\/strong>, but I will always love her and “HER” girls (my granddaughters), AND “I KNOW” deep inside she “KNOWS” this<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most people, as we become older, and not in our twenties<\/strong>, understands that not “ALL” marriages survive<\/strong>. But, I believe that “ALL” marriages do survive<\/strong>, as long as the children have that special time with the absent parent, via snap chat, social media, etc<\/strong>. It keeps the connection strong<\/strong>. Yet apart, but close and happy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I witnessed this<\/strong> just the other day, as I watched my son conduct himself as a man<\/strong> and his ex-wife conduct herself<\/strong> “AT THAT GIVEN TIME AND SPACE” as a “RESPECTFUL” mother<\/strong>. I will never forget that moment. (A special time.)<\/strong> Those girls were “HAPPY”, just to notice mom, and dad watching them, as they were playing and laughing together, -ALL- while both parents were smiling and speaking kindly to one another.<\/strong> “SHE”<\/strong> will always be their “MOTHER<\/strong>“, as I their grandmother<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want you to know that “EVERYDAY”<\/strong>, my son keeps the door open for communication with their mother, (I respect him for that)<\/strong>. Each day while babysitting the girls, I make it “A POINT” <\/strong>to remind them to “TELL THEIR MOTHER THAT THEY LOVE HER”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I “NEVER”<\/strong> had that connection with my mother, and I want to make sure they have the space needed to always have access to their mother, because she is their “MOTHER”<\/strong> and, she is their “STRENGTH”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

***<\/strong> SO WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For several weeks now, I’ve been learning how to become<\/strong> the very best “GRANDMOTHER” I can<\/strong>. By doing so, I have a list of some of the new things I am learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sling, <\/strong>– I rather use bio-flex <\/strong>then use the sling. Too many straps and buttons<\/strong>, and still felt the need to hold my granddaughter anyway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t get me wrong, some may like the sling thing, but for me, “GIVE ME BIO-FLEX” and a soar hip<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clothes<\/strong> – so many clothes that I have to roll-up in military style which helps keep outfits together.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entertainment<\/strong> – Learned so many new nursery rhythms, kid songs, and movies<\/strong> I never thought existed. One of my favorites is: “GRACIE’S CORNER”<\/strong> – Everybody should watch this show. One of my favorite songs is “Good Morning”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ipad<\/strong> – I watched how fast a one year old can learn to drag-n-drop objects<\/strong> into their appropriate spaces<\/strong>, how quickly she understands what shows she like and\/or dislike<\/strong>. I now know for sure, I am living in the “TECH” age<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past couple of days, my youngest granddaughter is trying to take steps<\/strong>, I have cameras running at all times to catch that first time moment<\/strong>. I want to make sure her mother will be able to see it at the same time I do. That is, the forward motion of tech age.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, for those who have wondered what is going on, I am “OFFICIALLY” a “GRANDMOTHER” and I love “EACH and EVERY” moment of it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
