Feels like uptown, a “PO” folk struggle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days ago Anita asked me to watch a video with her. She did not tell me the name of the video, she said “You gotta check this out.” <\/strong>PUBLIC SPEAKING SECTION: STARTING 46:22<\/strong> (HERE IS THE LINK TO VIDEO) <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I saw was a “Board of Aldermen” meeting<\/strong> in which business owners are questioning<\/strong> the “DESTRUCTION” of concrete streets in “DOWNTOWN” Branson, in the month of May<\/strong>. Practically opening season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saw individuals who for the “FIRST” time<\/strong> are experiencing feelings that many of us “PO” working class folks “UPTOWN” deal with <\/strong>on a daily basis in the low-end hotel hole game, and workforce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moment that impacted me was when a young lady spoke up after the why’s, how come’s, and when’s, were asked, only to say, I “JUST” purchased the property and “USED” all my savings, and now I don’t have customers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

****How Similar Is This To The Low-end Hotel Scam Game?****<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“PO” folks take all their “HARD” earned incom<\/strong>e and give it to the low-end hotel landlords<\/strong>, only to lose everything in the end<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know because Anita and I lost everything too.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anita and I have been in Branson going on 5 seasons<\/strong>. In our stay in Branson we have always recognized the “DOWNTOWN” area as the “HEART AND SOUL” of Branson<\/strong>.  Everything from that Icecream Parlor back is what Branson is built on.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“DOWNTOWN” represents the true meaning and history of Branson,<\/strong> and should “NEVER”<\/strong> be tampered with as everything streams upwards from there. “IT IS THE MAIN ARTERY IN BRANSON.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

****SO WHAT MAY BE ON THE AGENDA?****<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why would any city officials allow construction in a “TIME OF SEASON” that local businesses make “MAJORITY” of their income\/livelihood?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1)<\/strong> Maybe, there was no “REAL” thought<\/strong> process put into this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–OR–<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Maybe, in order to bring in “NEW” businesses into the downtown area<\/strong>, one must concoct<\/strong> a way to remove the “UNWANTED” businesses<\/strong>. Those who are no longer welcomed<\/strong>. If you can’t pay the “RENT,” YOU CAN’T STAY. IF THE STREETS ARE BROKEN, NO ONE WILL COME TO PURCHASE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

****RESULTS****<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many downtown local businesses<\/strong> that make Branson what it is, are losing money daily,<\/strong> while the owners of these buildings are still requesting “RENTAL” and “ELECTRICITY” payments on time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is very similar to the “PO” working class “HOTEL” hole dwellers.<\/strong>
 
Some<\/strong> local businesses “UPTOWN”<\/strong> cut the locals’ work hours<\/strong>, just enough so the locals can’t get unemployment, and they can’t make payment. <\/strong>All while the hotel hole owners are demanding payment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BUSINESSES WITHOUT STREETS =<\/strong> “NO MONEY”<\/strong> – (CITY REQUIRES PAYMENT – ALL BILLS MUST BE PAID ON TIME INCLUDING ELECTRICITY)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOCALS WITHOUT SUSTAINABLE WORK HOURS = <\/strong> “NO HOTEL HOLE”<\/strong> – (HOLE OWNERS REQUIRES PAYMENT ON TIME OR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE “OUT IN “5” MINUTES BY 5 P.M.”)<\/strong> – OUT BY 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe the City of Branson construction project has been very “DISRUPTIVE” to the local businesses<\/strong> downtown. By closing access<\/strong> to these businesses, the City has “CRIPPLED” businesses<\/strong> in such a way that “I”<\/strong> believe Branson should step up and provide some type of “FINANCIAL” support<\/strong> while they continue to beautify<\/strong> the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How much is this costing “PO” working class folks and business owners in taxes and losses?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep in mind, the Safety Initiative Team declared hotels are up to code standard<\/strong> and now in 75 days “DOWNTOWN” will be all new.<\/strong> – “JUST IN TIME FOR OFF SEASON WHEN THINGS ARE SLOWING DOWN.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s good to know Branson is all about cleaning up the “EXTERIOR” of Branson streets<\/strong>, but one must also look at the “INTERIOR”<\/strong> walls and floors of certain hotel holes.<\/strong> “OTHERWISE – BRANSON IS JUST COVERING IT UP”<\/strong> from my view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WELCOME TO BRANSON 2025 Y’ALL <\/strong>– DON’T FORGET THE “HOMELESS” PEOPLE BRANSON PRODUCE ON A DAILY.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
