“Myth or Reality”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several years ago (2021)<\/strong> when Anita and I moved to Branson, there were whispers of a “Tiny Home” <\/strong>development. In 2025<\/strong> those whispers continue. It’s “NOT” the whispers of “Look How Beautiful,” <\/strong>they are whispers of how many “SENIORS” are losing out<\/strong> due to lack of “AFFORDABLE”<\/strong> and “CLEAN”<\/strong> housing. How many “DISABLED” individuals<\/strong> are now possibly facing living on the streets or in Branson’s wooded areas<\/strong>, as this coming December the “BRANSON MANOR APARTMENTS” will be closing for repairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 5, 2025 <\/strong>According to an article written by “Branson Globe”<\/strong> “Hundreds” attended “ELEVATE” community property ceremony<\/strong>. (READ ARTICLE HERE)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears after reading an article presented June 24, 2025 by “Branson Tri Lake News” <\/strong>the development of these long anticipated “TINY” homes were on hold, as a “STOP WORK ORDER”<\/strong> was issued May 19, 2025<\/strong> by the “City of Branson”<\/strong>. (VIEW IMAGE AND READ ARTICLE HERE)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bryan Stallings, of the tiny home community<\/strong> stated. “This is a huge and complex project that requires cooperation and support from every level of government and private sector leadership”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears to “ME”<\/strong> that Bryan was asking everyone from “ALL” levels of government<\/strong> to outline the “PATH” needed to help him make this project come true<\/strong>. Instead someone or entities failed<\/strong> to inform Bryan of the necessary steps required to “BEGIN” breaking ground<\/strong>. (SEE TANEY COUNTY ZONING REGULATIONS) <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

****There Are Legal Consequences****<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Missouri law<\/strong>, and local municipal ordinances, require permits<\/strong> for various construction activities including “NEW” structures<\/strong>, significant alterations, and work involving electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems. Starting work “WITHOUT”<\/strong> a permit is a “VIOLATION”<\/strong>, according to Missouri law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penalties:<\/strong> If caught building without permits, you could face:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINES:<\/strong> Municipalities can issue fines, potentially up to $250.00 plus permit fees, or even higher, depending on the severity and location. Repeated violations can lead to increased fines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STOP WORK ORDER: <\/strong>Authorities may issue a “stop work order”<\/strong>, halting your project until permits are obtained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FORCED DEMOLITION OR MODIFICATION:<\/strong> In some cases, you may be required to tear down the unpermitted structure or make costly adjustments to bring it into compliance with building codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, with the Tiny Homes in Branson, they were given a “STOP WORK ORDER”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So the question one would ask himself or herself is this, did they hold the “CEREMONY” knowing the permits required were not in place?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If city officials were aware of no such document<\/strong> being in place, my question would be, how could they penalize anyone with a “STOP WORK ORDER” when they are “SIDE BY SIDE” with shovels in hand for the ceremony, knowing the tiny home owners had no “CONCRETE” permit in place to lay the foundation?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“WHO IS TO BLAME” <\/strong>– IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THE CITY OFFICIALS ASSISTED IN COMMITTING<\/strong> THIS VIOLATION<\/strong> AS IT IS “THEIR SHOVELS” MAKING A DIG<\/strong>, “BREAKING GROUND”<\/strong>. CITY OFFICIALS PROVIDED<\/strong> THE TINY HOME OWNERS WITH “CLEARANCE” TO “VIOLATE”, <\/strong>AS BRANSON’S OFFICIALS BROKE GROUND WITH THEM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing around with this tiny home project is causing pain and suffering to many “SENIORS” <\/strong>and “PO” WORKING class families<\/strong> in Branson. Just as the “CONSTRUCTION” downtown crippled sales and created losses for local businesses, the affordable housing crisis is creating death in hotels and the woods.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

****I WANT TO SHARE SOMETHING WITH YOU****<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of you wonder why Anita is really pushy when it comes to “SENIORS”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few months back Anita had to console a family<\/strong> who had not seen their mother in years<\/strong>. Anita had been working with this elderly lady as she lived in the Branson wooded area<\/strong>. For several years\/seasons Anita and the Branson Outreach Warriors<\/strong> provided when she needed something. She was a prideful lady<\/strong>. She and Anita became very close. Anita tried many times to help remove her from that type of lifestyle<\/strong>, but to no avail, Anita was not successful<\/strong>. When someone is living in the woods, most often they will “NOT” have “I.D.” and things like that, important papers to show citizenship.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One day while Anita was making a delivery<\/strong>, she noticed a couple of large sores on the lady’s leg<\/strong>. Anita convinced the lady to let her get help because it did not look good<\/strong>. Anita contacted Cox Hospital for several days, and through persistence was able to get the medical help needed. <\/strong>I am not going to make this long, but the elderly lady passed away a short time later in the hospital.<\/strong> All due to living in the woods “WITHOUT” proper hygiene care and documents.<\/strong> (THIS PERSON WAS A SCHOOL TEACHER FOR 30 PLUS YEARS).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anita has a strong will to get “EVERYONE” especially “SENIORS” <\/strong>out of the woods. So, not only does Anita and the Branson Outreach Warriors help families<\/strong> when they are “HUNGRY”<\/strong>, and “HOMELESS”,<\/strong> THEY HELP WHEN SOMEONE IS “HURTING”<\/strong> AND “DYING”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, I’ve learned that many of the seniors living in these hotel holes and\/or wooded areas, at one time were the backbone of Branson’s businesses.<\/strong> They were the ones who taught at schools, cleaned hotel rooms, cooked in the kitchen, provided front desk service, etc.<\/strong> Once used up, they are tossed aside<\/strong>. Either to a “NASTY” “FILTHY” hotel hole or the “BACKWOODS” in Branson.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, when you hear Anita push to get everyone in line for “DECEMBER 2025”,<\/strong> it is because many “SENIORS” AND “PO” WORKING CLASS families<\/strong> will be relocating to the “STREETS” and\/or “WOODS”,<\/strong> just in time for the “HOLIDAY SEASON”<\/strong>, if a “SAFETY” net is not put in place now.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One would think the “CITY” would be preparing a safety net. Instead it is “Anita and the Branson Outreach Warriors” preparing the “SAFETY NET”.<\/strong> – This is some strange shit to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That safety net would be the “TINY HOMES” as those seniors losing housing this December, due to repairs, will certainly qualify as they are currently paying for the apartments they dwell in now.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many were hoping these “TINY HOMES” would become a “REALITY”, <\/strong>but it’s looking more like a “MYTH” <\/strong>a story Branson locals will be talking about for years<\/strong>. How millions of dollars was lost to an “IDEA”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE “ENTITY” WHO “DISTRIBUTE” BUILDING PERMITS<\/strong>, ASSIST<\/strong> IN COMMITTING A “VIOLATION” <\/strong>KNOWING REQUIRED “CONCRETE” PERMITS WERE NOT IN PLACE?<\/strong> – DID THIS REALLY HAPPEN?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the circle “B” downtown, to the “TINY HOMES” debacle, <\/strong>things are not looking good for the locals. ARE THE CORRECT PERMITS IN PLACE FOR THE DOWNTOWN MESS?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There should have been a “COORDINATED”<\/strong> effort with Bryan<\/strong>, the City Manager\/Administrator<\/strong>, Planning & Zoning Department<\/strong>, and Public Works Department <\/strong>to understand the specific requirements and processes for establishing a tiny home community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is strongly recommended to obtain all necessary permits “BEFORE” starting any construction work in Branson”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOWEVER,<\/strong> If you would like to get your “GROUND BREAKING” event “PHOTOS” <\/strong>published “BEFORE” you obtain your permits,<\/strong> please feel free to reach out to the City of Branson<\/strong> as “THEIR SMILE” goes a long way for your ground breaking ceremony.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In closing, those who read this post, I want all of you to “SUPPORT” our local businesses “DOWNTOWN”.<\/strong> They have been hit hard by all this “BACKWARD” shit<\/strong> and they “TRULY”<\/strong> need your support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
