Some of you already know that my family and I have moved from the Enclave. More importantly, in a positive direction.
In this move, my husband and I felt both the joy and pain of moving away from good friends.
–The Joy–
To be able for the first time in 6 years to move into a piece of property that neither my husband nor myself had to clean “1 inch” of prior to bringing our belongings in. “THE CLEANING STAFF DONE A SUPERB JOB” I asked my husband how did he sleep last night? He stated “LIKE A (M–F)ING KING AT THE KINGS QUARTERS.
You’re probably asking yourself “What resort is Anita talking about?
I will share that with you, but let me share a little of the pain I felt and still feel to this day.
–The Pain–
About 1-week prior to moving into our new location, my husband and I asked our son to find a place for his dog. As time moved forward, as it normally does, movin day had arrived. Our son wanted to force us to take the dog with us. My husband reiterated to our son that the dog is not coming with us, “OUR ONLY CONCERNS RIGHT NOW ARE THOSE TWO GIRLS, THE DOG AIN’T GOING”.
Well shortly there after a few verbal exchanges a couple of police officers arrived, in which I then made a request to have this conversation with the Police Sergeant.
Once he arrived we worked things out like “CIVILIZED” individuals as the officers handled themselves in a very respectful and responsible way. The Sergeant offered the financial help my son needed to get his dog to its location.
While our son was somewhat angry at us, he then went on to tell the Sgt. that I “stole” his EBT card, which was not true. Our son is too proud to use the EBT card, so he gives it to me to do the shopping.
And yes, when I go shopping I never get the right things according to my son. But, yet I can’t get him to use the card and go shopping for himself and the girls.
Anyway, this was taking place at the “Enclave” while my husband and I were finalizing the cleanup of that location.
I informed the Sgt. and Officers that the card was at our new location and therefore, I don’t have it in my possession. My son said “she’s lying” because he simply didn’t know, and didn’t care, all he wanted was the card and continued being angry.
My husband then stated, “Since my son doesn’t want us to ride in his car to the new location, will one of you take us so that we can get his card. But, I don’t want you guys to come on the property because it will look bad as we are just now moving in”. The Sgt. agreed and stated “I CAN DO THAT”
Being the type of person I am, I stated to the Sgt. and the Officers.
“I WANT YOU COME IN AND SEE WHAT MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN PREPARING FOR OUR GRANDDAUGHTERS.
My husband said okay if that is what you want, then they are welcome to come inside.
So, see “I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE”
–THE HIDDEN GEM–
They pulled up to Branson’s “KINGS QUARTERS” and walked with us to the entrance doors, a “FULLY” secured building, and entered into our place of dwelling.
I located my purse while the officers were present, removed the card, and handed it to my son. I then proceeded to give the officers a tour, and “SELL” the idea that maybe one of them should consider moving in. One officer stated, “I DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE THIS NICE.”
My husband said “Now you know”
I said the price is right too.
–I want to say one thing to the people who live at the Enclave–
Thank you for that night as no one huddled up, nor even opened their doors to stand on the balcony to see what was happening. Thank you for understanding this was a family matter. My husband and I are very appreciative.
–ENCLAVE IGNORANCE MUST STOP–
Yesterday, I received a call that was most disturbing.
The Enclave has a long-termer who has been there with his “wife or girlfriend” for 7 or so years, so he told me. His “wife or girlfriend” was once a social worker, she had shared this information with me. I’ll reference him as “Mr. Longtermer,”
Mr. Longtermer, who is a true advocate for #TRUMP, asked my husband one day, “Did you vote for Trump, Did you donate to “MAGA.”
My husband looked at that man and his partner and stated “Why would “YOU” donate to a rich (M–F)er like that, why would a “POOR ASS PERSON” who goes to “PANTRIES” each month even let donating to Trump or anyone else enter into their thoughts.
SEND #TRUMP A LETTER Mr. Longtermer, and let him know you are a “POOR” ass “WHITE” man, and you need a “DONATION” AND SEE WHAT HIS RESPONSE MIGHT BE TO YOU. My husband laughed in his face. Do you know people are going to jail because of #Trump?
Anyway about 2-3 weeks ago Enclave received an influx of people from other countries. A young couple from the Bahamas and their two children moved in a few doors down from me. I was able to help them get moving in the right direction as this is something “BRANSON” has not really handled well yet.
–WHY I SAY THIS–
When these people arrived, some with children, some without, I noticed many were not eating well as they were only brought in to work. So when they started working, as this young couple did, they would have to wait until they received their “FIRST” check in order to place food in their fridge.
Branson’s businesses need to check with each new hire that’s arriving from another country personally, to see if there is anything they need in order to make it to payday. If they work at your fast food place, I believe they should be fed each day “FREE” until they can make it to payday. If they don’t work at a fast food place then it will be up to the owners and managers to make appropriate decisions on how best to take care of these people, SO THEY CAN CONTINUE HELPING BRANSON’S BUSINESS PROSPER. Us “POOR” People work better and smarter when we have a good night of rest, and a healthy meal.
So, here is what Mr. Longtermer did to this family. SICKENING AS IT CAN BE.
Near the end of last month Mr. Longtermer asked to borrow $10.00 from this young African American couple. The husband gave it to Mr. Longtermer and his wife or girlfriend.
A couple of days later, after the “1st OF THE MONTH,” you know, us “POOR” folks most precious day, Mr. Longtermer ordered a “PIZZA” from the establishment the young couple work at.
Husband and wife source of income to provide for their children.
The next day after ordering the pizza, Mr. Longtermer called their place and business and tried to have this family terminated from employment, stating the pizza weren’t made right amongst other things. I’m sure they did this to other local establishments to get a “FREE” meal. I call it a “POOR MAN’S FOOD HUSTLE”
Later that evening Mr. Longtermer started another mission by trying to “befriend” the wife on #Facebook. Spent several hours doing so.
To even further inject pain to this African American young couple, the N-word and Boy is now being tossed around by Mr. Longtermer best friend and neighboring vine hanger. He hangs on the vine next door to Mr. Longtermer, so they are in the mix.
I asked Mr. Longtermer, as my husband and I have an understanding of his views on people of color, “Do you know what will happen if they lose their jobs? The kids will “NOT” be able eat, they will not have a roof over they heads, and they will not be able to function mentally while at school. So, why did you create this problem?
I then further went on to let Mr. Longtermer know that this place is now under “NEW” management and I know this kinda “shit” will not play well with Todd nor the owners.
People you need to understand.
THE ENCLAVE IS CHANGING, YOU CAN FEEL IT, AND YOU CAN SEE THE CHANGES AS YOU DRIVE BY.
So, for those who think they can do and act any type of way while at the “ENCLAVE,” you got it all wrong. It is changing in order to help those who truly want to help themselves.
Todd will work with you in a respectful way, but he will “NOT” let you run the Enclave. Todd and the owners have made it clear that they are not spending no more time with “bullshitters”
This ain’t no damn “SITCOM” this is the real world us “POOR” folks live in.
Don’t come to the Enclave if you are not serious about bettering your conditions, and making your surrounding peaceful and comfortable as possible. That is what the resurrection of the Enclave is about.
I will always continue visiting the Enclave as I have many friends there, and I “WILL” continue helping new families that may need some type of guidance given when they arrive.
Also, I want those who called the Kings Quarters managers on us for bringing the Sgt. and Officers, to this location, let me “APOLOGIZE” as it was “NOT” my, nor my husband’s intentions to frighten anyone. We are “NOT” here to harm “YOU“. We are just a family finding our way through the “BULLSHIT”.
For those who need to know. Kings Quarters owners have several places including Enclave. Enclave is a stepping stone for those who are serious about their situation.
When completed, I believe the Enclave will be the spot for all “FAMILY” travellers, as it is located on the strip. Drive by, check it out.
