“Where do we go next?”
Around June 2, 2025 Anita and I relocated to Branson from Springfield as many residents felt she would do best in helping those in need if she worked the outreach in Branson.
We took up residence at the Red Roof Inn. Anita went into the location to pay for the room as I waited in the car. When Anita returned, I asked “did you get a receipt?” Anita said “NO”, he wanted cash. I didn’t say nothin cause I was happy for her as she secured a place to stay in Branson and now able to work with other Branson Outreach Warriors.
The following week Anita paid again with “CASH” and no receipt. That’s when I began to have a “-UCKED” feelin about that shit. I said, “They ain’t gettin no mo cash, that’s “-UCKEN” bullshit. “They ain’t taken from me like that, “-UCK” that shit, my ass is already at the bottom, they ain’t going to treat me like shit. See, when you stay in rooms that are considered down (you pay cash). OFF BOOKS.
So I asked Anita, what the “-UCK” is going on, why are they needing cash?
Immediately, Anita said, “hold on, let me make a call.” Anita made a call and then proceeded to make a “SUNSHINE” request and when the information returned, it was at that time Anita was able to ascertain this place is operating “WITHOUT” a business license. (REVIEW CITY DOCUMENT).
I felt as though we were immediately placed back into the “HOTEL HOLE” pinball machine. Where “PO” folks are just one “BUTTON” click from being pushed off that thin “-UCKEDUP” vine.
A couple of days ago, July 1, 2025 there was an incident pertaining to a young African American male and the owners of “RED ROOF” Inn. Some may have seen the video on #FACEBOOK (VIDEO HERE)
****NOW CHECK THIS SHIT OUT****
Upon moving into dwelling, we had met the “PREVIOUS” manager who left “one” day after the “NEW” owners arrived.
He and I had a couple of conversations in which he spoke highly of this man. In our conversations he would always speak highly of “Authur.”
He stated: “Authur was let go when the new owner met him; they did not like him.” He went on to say that “Authur” was the only “HOUSEKEEPER” they had when this place was doing really bad, he kept the hallways, rooms and outside areas clean. He went on to say how “Authur” would even go as far as pulling furniture from the walls to make sure it was clean, and then something happened, and the owners want him gone.
At one point, a flash came across my mind, as I visualized my man “Authur” as the “HELP.” They used “TRICKOLOGY” and got him. “FOOLERY” at its best. I ain’t gonna tell you the pay, but when you need a “ROOF” over yo head, you can think in “UNPOSITIVE” way.
So, on July 1, 2025 “Authur” was confronted by Branson PD. As I set back and gaged everything from my rear view, I noticed something kinda special. I watched “3” men handling business without verbal or physical abuse. I watched an older officer conduct himself in a professional manner and I want to commend him for that. I respect “Authur” for not running as that is what people would like to have seen, being African American. You did what “REAL” brothas do “Authur,” I commend you for that.
OH, AND TO THE YOUNG OFFICER WHO STOOD BEHIND MY VEHICLE IN THE PARKING LOT OF MY PLACE OF RESIDENCE AND WROTE DOWN MY PLATE INFO. I’M POSITIVE YOU RAN MY PLATES. “GOOD FOR YOU – “IM STRAIT WID DAT” – JUST DO ME A FAVOR, NEXT TIME “HIT” ALL THE PLATES IN PARKING LOT, THAT WAY I DON’T FEEL SO “SPECIAL.” – AGAIN – “IM STRAIT WID DAT”
Anyway, Authur had paid rent for a week and the “OWNER” who “DO NOT” have a business license wanted him out immediately. So, Authur kindly shared the note from the City of Branson (REVIEW CITY DOCUMENT) and with that note the officers were able to come to a conclusion.
Quit using the locals as the “HELP” – It would be wise to hire a “CLEANING” company.
****SO WHAT’S NEXT?****
Only the city officials can answer that question.
It certainly feels as though hotels have the blessing of the City of Branson to operate “WITHOUT” business licenses no matter what the conditions of the property may be. In most cases, they are “FILTHY” “FUNKY” “SHITTY” “NASTY” and “UNSAFE.” If not considered human, then you live in the aforementioned “SHIT-HOLE” like me and the rest of the “PO” working class folks.
In Branson, they recently placed a “BIG ASS” “B” in the middle of downtown, it cost up to $5 million, that comes with sidewalk and drain repair, I assume. By time hundreds of thousands of vehicles drop oil, mud, other shit on it, that “B” will disappear just like some of these faded out hotel holes.
That funding would have better served the community in terms of “HOUSING” and “FIRST RESPONDERS.”
Things like, Tiny homes, Hospitals, Police Officers, Paramedics, Fire Dept. Sheriffs and Teachers. Instead the “B” felt better. Maybe you should name the town “BEYONCE” that’s the queen “B”
And now we have the Tiny Homes on hold. Everybody in Branson knows that these Tiny Homes are very much needed. As far as the locals, even though they seem angry, they are still counting on these homes. They need those Tiny Homes in place. The City needs to get this matter resolved in an expeditious manner as many lives are depending on Elevate to deliver. The city seems to be standing in the way.
But yet, the city of Branson participated in a ground breaking ceremony.
****SO THIS IS WHAT THIS SHIT BOILS DOWN TO****
In the past several weeks, together we have learned;
1) In Branson, some so-called “HOTEL” hole businesses “CAN” operate “WITHOUT” licenses. (REVIEW CITY DOCUMENT) This letter suggests they don’t have license but yet visually any one can see they are in full swing collecting money.
2) In Branson, “HARD EARNED” taxpayers money was used to construct a “B” logo in an area that will be, and remain dirty, as thousands of people roll rubber car tires and other dirty shit across it daily. – “THROW AWAY MONEY”
3) In Branson, you can have a “Tiny Home” ground breaking ceremony “WITH” a “STOP WORK ORDER” in place. “LETS CELEBRATE”
In closing, I want to take you back about 4 years ago when older folks in Branson shared their dislike for having a DISPENSARY” in town.
Well today, 4 years later, “I GOT GREAT NEWS”.
At “GREENLIGHT” the light is always green. There is a high influx of elderly people joining in on this green scene. They come in on walkers, cains and everythang between. They walk with a “PEP IN THEIR STEP”. That’s because they “ENJOY” the sight of the fluorescent light – HOLLA AT EM’– “GET YO DELITE AT GREENLIGHT”. I give them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.
